Please join us (Sunday, October 27th from 11:30am - 9pm) in Washington D.C. for the inaugural Liwanag Filipino Lit Fest organized by Loyalty Bookstores, DCPL, and Kwento Collective!

We'll have a full day of free programming (11:30am - 6pm), including author talks, book signings, poetry readings, Philippine Indigenous ancestral art henna tattoos, karaoke afterparty (tickets required from 7 - 9pm), and more! Loyalty will have participating authors' books for sale in addition to a dynamic selection of books for all ages by suthors from the Filipinx diaspora. All author panels will take place at Petworth Neighborhood Library, located at 4200 Kansas Ave NW, and book signings will be at Loyalty Petworth, located at 843 Upshur Street NW. (Both locations are around the corner from each other!)

Although this is the first Filipino Literary Festival in the DMV, we're thrilled to be in community with our friends Bel Canto Books and the incredible Liwanag Lit Fest in Long Beach, CA, officially making this a bicoastal celebration and event now! Building on the work of our sister festival, we aim to shine a light in DC on Filipino literature and authors from the diaspora. We look forward to celebrating with you!
